The Cebu Online News Press Corps held its first year-end celebration last December 17, 2023, at Casa Mira Tower 2 Labangon Condominium.
The event served as the culmination of the group’s success for the year 2023. Among the highlights of the celebration is the launching of the organization’s official website www.conpc.net.
The website contains a list of members and brand partners, news, feature stories, and a gallery of CONPC activities. It is also ready to welcome original content from its members, including press releases from their clients.
The creation and launching of CONPC’s official website is in line with the organization’s thrust to spark goodwill and live by its mission.
CONPC founder Mr. Robby Alugar encourages the corps members to proactively support the brands that have partnered with CONPC. “We have a bigger purpose beyond the gifts and experiences we receive – we are voices of positivity and creators of valuable digital content,” Alugar stated.
He stressed that genuinely helping businesses thrive means supporting the engine of growth of the country’s economy.
Ms. Marivic Bathan, president of Children’s Paradise Montessori School, graced the event and delivered a special message to the group.
Bathan commended the inclusivity among CONPC members and its continuous efforts in delivering trusted information online.
“In the midst of our diversity, we are really celebrating the wonders of everybody’s contribution and balance and strength. I’m really an advocate of strengths, and I see how all of you in your individual unique strengths and talents with coming together. When you come together, there’s just so much that can come out of it,” Bathan said.
CONPC’s holiday gathering was made more festive as everybody gamely took part in the fun program which showcased impressive live performances, exciting games, and a grand raffle draw.
Before the event came to an end, CONPC co-founder Ms. Minerva Newman imparted some words of wisdom, encouraging attendees to appreciate life, choose happiness, and cultivate a sense of gratitude.
Since its founding last year, the organization has collaborated with a wide range of brands and businesses, including NGOs and commercial enterprises. CONPC aims to share high-quality content.
